Foresta Umbra
The Foresta Umbra is a hidden gem in the heart of the Gargano National Park. This protected natural reserve owes its name to the dense vegetation that creates a shady and mysterious atmosphere. Covering an area of 10,000 hectares, the forest stretches over a terrain filled with diverse hilly/mountain elevations that reach 800 meters, reaching as far as the coast in some places. Here, nature prevails with more than 2,000 plant species. Walking through its paths, you will encounter majestic beech trees, the true giants of nature, towering over 40 meters in height with their trunks being over a meter in diameter.
Tremiti Islands
The Tremiti Islands are a true paradise in the heart of the Adriatic Sea, about 12 miles off the coast of Gargano. This archipelago, also known as Diomedee, is a magical place that attracts thousands of visitors every year. In fact, the Tremiti Islands offer an unparalleled natural wonder: crystal-clear waters, clean seabeds, mild climate and clean air. Lush vegetation and wild nature are the setting for hidden bays, striking promontories, and coastlines that alternate between sandy beaches and spectacular sheer cliffs. Monte Sant'Angelo is a can't-miss destination for anyone who is fascinated by religious history. Worldwide famous, it is a must-see for worshippers of San Michele Arcangelo (St. Michael the Archangel). For centuries, saints, emperors, popes, kings and ordinary believers have knelt in front of the altar of the Archangel Michael, seeking blessings and miracles.

San Giovanni Rotondo
San Giovanni Rotondo is a world-famous location for being the place where the remains of San Pio of Pietrelcina (St. Pio of Pietrelcina) are kept. The Capuchin friar lived here for about 50 years, attracting millions of faithful.
Surrounded by the greenery of the Gargano National Park, the town is perched on the hills at the foot of Monte Calvo. The origins of San Giovanni Rotondo date back to the year 1000, when it was founded on the ruins of an ancient village dating back to the 4th century BC. Evidence of this past can still be seen today, such as some tombs and a circular baptistery that was once dedicated to the cult of Janus, and was later consecrated to San Giovanni (St. John).

Sea Caves
The Gargano coast, especially the stretch from Vieste to Mattinata, is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Apulia. High white cliffs plunge into the sea, with pines, gorse and cysts jutting out over the blue waters. These spectacular views alternate with small inlets and little white pebble beaches, which can be accessed only by sea. Hidden among the coves and green oases, where there are a lot of herring gulls and hawksbills, are the fascinating sea caves. These vast cavities are shaped by the sea, which has created uniquely formed tunnels. Light filtering through the rocks and Mediterranean scrub reflects off the water, giving it enchanting shades of color. Book your excursion to the Sea Caves with us!
